we got him a pair of baby converse shoes. He kept frowning when he looked at me…looks like I’ll have to bribe my way into his circle of trust haha.

Ladies and Gents, meet Mason. About a week and a half ago we went for a visit to our cousin Francis and Clara’s house to see Mason for the first time. At about 3 months, he’s looking healthy and already becoming a good lookin fellow with his mother’s eyes and father’s smile. He’s in good hands.
Visiting Mason with my sister and Gina made our day. Not only did it fill us with joy to see our newest family member, but it reminded me on how much care and effort goes into one’s child. Prior to the day of the visit, I asked if we can visit in the evening and since Francis and us cousins watched the Raptors, I suggested visiting to watch a game with Mason and the Fam. Turns out, that my idea of a 3 month old baby was one that can stay awake from 8am - 10pm, while changing diapers a few times during the day. These preconceived notions…were quickly shattered. I completely forgot how it worked.
Talking to our cousin and Clara quickly reminded me that the process of having a child is tough. Straight up. They can talk forever about what they’ve experienced so far, and the amount of considerations that one needs to take into account as new parents is endless. Props to parents, especially mothers, for suffering through the mental and physical pain of bringing us up. Now go hug your mum.
