




A live feed online on the status of Hurricane Irene and Sandy from the New York Times website. I had these images of Hurricane Irene stored as drafts but since there’s another one right now I thought it be good to bring it back up.
These are screenshots I took while looking at the site, and I thought it’s really effective the way they displayed various factors into it. For example the first image shows you the difference between the past, present, and future status of the hurricane’s path. The live feedback gave color variations to define the level of the category of the hurricane, and then provided the predicted trajectory of the hurricane. The outline shows the scope of variations in the prediction, and the final image shows the level of impact
